Wrangell is located in Southeast Alaska in the heart of the Tongass National Forest, along the Inside Passage between Juneau and Ketchikan. The town of Wrangell is perched on the northern tip of Wrangell Island and is only accessible by boat or plane. There is so much to do in and around Wrangell, especially from May thorugh September. July & August are the peak season for weather and wildlife.
Alaska Airlines provides daily service from Seattle and Anchorage, as well as Juneau, Petersburg, and Ketchikan. Sunrise Aviation is our local air charter service that provides flights to and from other Southeast Alaska communities. There are other small charter plane services in nearby communities that provide service to Wrangell, as well as surrounding islands, towns, and amazing flightseeing tours.
